Anethings Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Rentals: Host does not accept → Full Platform refund.

  • Rentals: After Host accepts → No refund by default.

  • Buy/Sell: Connection Establishment Fee (₹29) → Non-refundable post-unlock.

  • Buy/Sell: Item purchase price → Settled independently between Buyer & Seller (not processed by Anethings).

  • Vehicles: Absolutely no refunds for off-platform sale payments, deposits, or RTO registration/transfer issues.

  • Platform/Booking Fees: Strictly non-refundable in most operational scenarios.

1. Scope

This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to payments processed through the Anethings Platform for rental listings, Buy/Sell ecosystem features (including the Connection Establishment Fee), and managed escrow checkouts (where explicitly offered). Item purchase prices and transactional values settled directly between a Buyer and a Seller off-platform are not processed, handled, or tracked by Anethings, and are completely excluded from the scope of this policy.

2. Rentals — Booking Confirmation

A rental reservation or booking request submitted by a Renter becomes legally confirmed only upon explicit digital acceptance by the designated Host. Prior to Host acceptance, the rental reservation remains strictly pending, non-binding, and holds no fulfillment guarantees.

3. Rentals — Cancellation Before Host Acceptance

Full Refund: If a Host rejects a booking request, actively declines the reservation, or fails to respond within the application's designated operational timeframe, a 100% refund of the aggregate amount processed through the Platform for that specific booking will be reversed to the Renter. These reversals remain subject to standard banking and payment gateway aggregator clearing timelines.

4. Rentals — Cancellation After Host Acceptance

No Refund by Default: Once a booking request has been formally accepted by the Host, the rental transaction is considered fully executed and non-refundable. Voluntary cancellations initiated by the Renter post-acceptance do not qualify for financial returns, unless the Host explicitly issues a written waiver and Anethings approves the situation as an exceptional case under its administrative discretion as a facilitator.

5. Rentals — Platform Fee

Rental platform usage and booking fees assessed by Anethings are non-refundable. These fees represent consideration for digital infrastructure utilization, integrated payment routing, and baseline operational costs. Consequently, these platform fee percentages may be legally withheld by the platform even in rare, exceptional cases where the core rental asset value is approved for a refund.

6. Buy / Sell — Connection Establishment Fee

To bridge secure in-app messaging channels and unlock a Seller's contact details, Buyers may be assessed a fixed, one-time Connection Establishment Fee (currently set at ₹29 per independent buyer–seller–item unlock, subject to adjustment within the application architecture).

This fee is fully earned by the platform upon the access grant and is strictly non-refundable once the connection is unlocked, including in instances where:

  • You choose not to purchase the underlying item or experience a change of mind.

  • The Seller becomes unresponsive or acts in bad faith off-platform.

  • You dispute the quality, condition, or authenticity of the item post-unlock.

Refund considerations for this fee are limited exclusively to verified systemic technical failures where a payment transaction successfully cleared but the backend database failed to provision the matching unlock.

7. Buy / Sell — Item Sale Price & Vehicles

Barring marketplace configurations where the checkout interface explicitly states that Anethings is collecting the asset purchase price under a structured escrow flow, all item sale amounts (specifically including motor vehicles, automobiles, motorcycles, and scooters) are settled directly between the Buyer and the Seller.

Anethings does not process, hold, or escrow these funds, and will not issue refunds for:

  • Off-platform vehicle purchase payments, down payments, or booking deposits.

  • Statutory Regional Transport Office (RTO) transfer costs, fitness certificates, or insurance adjustments.

  • Financial losses, transit costs, or damages sustained during physical meetups or test drives.

All financial restitution or transactional adjustments regarding vehicle purchases remain a private civil matter to be settled exclusively between the Buyer and Seller.

8. Buy / Sell — Escrow (If Offered)

Where full integrated checkout and escrow processing are explicitly deployed for a sale listing within the application architecture, distinct refund eligibility parameters will be prominently displayed on the interface prior to payment authorization. Unless otherwise stated at the checkout interface, escrowed sale amounts follow our baseline marketplace principle: no automatic refunds will be provisioned for consumer change of mind, asset misrepresentations discovered after physical handover, or failed RTO ownership transfer formalities.

9. Refund Processing Timelines

Once an administrative platform refund is formally approved by the Anethings review desk, reversals are typically initiated within 5 to 7 working days and routed directly back to the original payment instrument. Any subsequent delays caused by downstream banking networks, clearinghouses, or payment gateways are entirely beyond the operational control of Anethings.

10. No-Refund Scenarios (Exclusionary Examples)

Anethings categorically denies refund processing under the following circumstances:

  • General change of plans, personal schedule changes, or early rental item returns.

  • Renter, Buyer, Host, or Seller no-shows or failure to appear at a physical meetup.

  • External disruption factors including weather conditions, traffic delays, or local inconveniences.

  • Profile bans or listing removals resulting from direct violations of platform policies.

  • Financial disputes arising from unauthorized payments executed outside the app interface.

  • Mishaps, damages, or dissatisfaction arising from vehicle test drives or user meetups.

  • Incomplete, rejected, or delayed RTO title transfer paperwork.

  • Direct user misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the Platform’s stated policies.

11. Dispute Handling

  • Rental Disputes: Any dispute regarding rental execution, damage claims, or rental refunds remains strictly between the Renter and the Host.

  • Sale Disputes: Any dispute regarding product quality, vehicle title authenticity, or sale price refunds remains strictly between the Buyer and the Seller.

Anethings may elect to step in with basic tracking data or informational mediation tools as a technology provider, but it holds no statutory duty or legal obligation to adjudicate user disputes, recover physical property, or execute financial adjustments for off-platform transactions.
