Preamble

This Privacy Policy explains how Anethings collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you utilize our mobile application, website, or associated digital services (collectively, the "Platform"). This includes interactions across our Rental, Buy/Sell, and motor vehicle sale marketplace ecosystems. By utilizing the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information: We collect registration and profile details including your name, phone number, email address, profile photograph, and explicit identity verification documentation (where applicable or required for account authentication).

1.2 Usage and Activity Information: We record details regarding your platform activity, including listings created for lease, sale, or hybrid deployment; rental bookings; active marketplace toggle modes (Rent or Buy); system activity logs; and general user interactions.

1.3 Listing Content You Publish: We collect any information you choose to include in your public listings, such as photos, item descriptions, pricing models, geographic location/area, item category, asset condition, and real-time availability. For motor vehicle sale listings, this encompasses specifications you explicitly disclose, such as vehicle make, model, manufacturing year, odometer readings, fuel type, registration indicators, or uploaded images of the vehicle and its related documentation. You are strictly responsible for redacting any private personal data on documents that you do not want visible to the public or other users.

1.4 Buy / Sell Communication & Connection Data: We collect and store internal chat messages exchanged between Buyers and Sellers, connection or unlock transaction logs (identifying exactly which listing communication path was opened), inquiry timestamps, and unread message flags. When a user processes a Connection Establishment Fee, we record this unlock event to properly provision the seller contact data and preserve active chat histories within the application interface.

1.5 Payment and Transaction Information: We collect transaction parameters, aggregate amounts, platform or service fees (including Connection Establishment Fees), utilized promotional coupons, payment fulfillment statuses, and tracking references provided by our payment infrastructure partners. Anethings does not store full credit card numbers, debit card numbers, or bank account credentials. All financial processing is executed securely via integrated third-party payment aggregators.

1.6 Device and Technical Data: We automatically collect hardware model details, IP addresses, operating system types and versions, application performance metrics, push notification tokens, system crash logs, and localized diagnostic data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We utilize the collected information to fulfill operational purposes, including to:

  • Provision, manage, and secure user profiles and accounts.

  • Facilitate fluid rental bookings and peer-to-peer sale operations, including processing listings, checkout, and connection unlocks.

  • Establish communication channels connecting Renters with Hosts and Buyers with Sellers (including vehicle sale negotiations).

  • Maintain in-app messaging services and deliver automated notifications concerning bookings and transaction statuses.

  • Properly display marketplace listings under Rent or Buy configurations and systematically enforce platform rules (such as the absolute prohibition of vehicle rentals).

  • Optimize overall system performance, troubleshoot software issues, and enhance the user experience.

  • Provide dedicated customer support, execute moderation, and maintain platform trust and safety.

  • Transmit critical operational updates, policy notifications, and automated push notifications (where permitted by device settings).

  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, system abuse, security breaches, and malicious activities.

  • Comply with statutory legal obligations and regulatory frameworks.

3. Marketplace & Vehicle Sales Security Notice

Anethings functions fundamentally as an intermediary marketplace for transient rentals and peer-to-peer asset transfers. The moment you process a connection unlock or initiate an in-app chat sequence with a Seller, your display name, profile avatar, and verified contact coordinates (such as your phone number, if provided) may become visible to the counterparty to facilitate independent transaction completion off-platform.

For motor vehicle listings, Anethings does not audit, inspect, or verify Registration Certificates (RC), engine or chassis numbers, pending traffic challans, or loan/hypothecation statuses. Any vehicle metrics or documentation shared via listing inputs, direct messaging channels, or physical meetups are disclosed entirely at your own financial and legal risk. We maintain no oversight or liability regarding how a counterparty utilizes the information you choose to share outside the application ecosystem, including during physical inspections, test drives, or Regional Transport Office (RTO) administrative visits.

4. Sharing of Information

We may disclose or share your information under the following limited conditions:

  • With Other Users: We share Host/Renter operational data to complete active bookings, and display Seller/Buyer names, profile avatars, phone numbers, public listing content (including vehicle details), and communication history once a connection unlock is successfully executed.

  • With Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted third-party vendors who support our operations, including cloud hosting providers, payment gateways, data analytics tools, push notification modules, and customer support desks.

  • For Legal and Security Compliance: We may disclose data to regulatory bodies, law enforcement, or judicial authorities to comply with legal processes, investigate fraud, protect user safety, or enforce platform guidelines (such as acting on reports of prohibited vehicle rental activities).

  • Corporate Transactions: We may transfer data assets in connection with any corporate merger, restructuring, acquisition, asset sale, or business transition.

We explicitly do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers for their independent marketing initiatives.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard administrative and technical security controls designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of digital storage can be guaranteed as 100% secure. Consequently, you acknowledge that you utilize the Platform and transmit information entirely at your own risk.

6. Data Retention

We maintain your personal data subject to the following retention periods:

  • For the entire operational duration that your user account remains active.

  • As strictly required to maintain rental histories, purchase inquiries (including vehicle negotiations), message strings, connection unlock logs, transaction records, and to prevent systemic fraud.

  • Deleted listing materials (such as photographs and written descriptions) may persist inside secure system backups or server logs for a mathematically limited administrative window post-deletion.

  • Direct chat logs and connection logs are maintained for a reasonable period following transaction finalization to resolve potential consumer disputes, support customer care requests, and verify safety protocols.

  • Certain core transaction data may be retained indefinitely following account deletion if mandated by statutory Indian laws, tax compliance, or legitimate platform security requirements.

7. Your Rights

You maintain explicit rights regarding your data, including the right to:

  • Access, review, or export your personal profile information.

  • Request corrections, additions, or updates to inaccurate or outdated data fields.

  • Request the absolute deletion of your personal account data, subject to specific legal, regulatory, or fraud-prevention data retention thresholds.

  • Opt out of receiving non-essential marketing notifications, service announcements, or promotional content.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The Platform may utilize cookies, device identifiers, web beacons, and related tracking technologies to preserve your operational preferences, analyze system traffic trends, track session statuses, and enhance user navigation. You maintain full authority to manage or disable tracking mechanisms via your individual mobile device settings or web browser controls, though doing so may limit your access to specific in-app features.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Platform integrates external APIs and services, such as payment gateway aggregators and cloud services, whose data management policies operate entirely independently of Anethings. We do not maintain oversight or responsibility for the privacy architectures of these external parties, and you are strongly advised to review their respective corporate privacy policies prior to executing transactions.

10. Children's Privacy

Anethings is strictly configured as a marketplace for individuals who are at least 18 years of age and hold full capacity to contract. We do not knowingly collect, parse, or process personal data from individuals classified as minors under applicable law. If we discover that a minor has bypassed verification and created an account, the profile data will be purged immediately.

11. Modifications to This Privacy Policy

Anethings reserves the right to modify, adjust, or completely rewrite this Privacy Policy at any designated interval. In the event of material revisions, we will alert users by updating the "Last Updated" timestamp or deploying an in-app notice. Continued interaction with the Platform following the publication of revisions serves as full, legally binding ratification of the modified Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy, including its construction, enforcement, and data resolution procedures, is governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of India, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
